So... Who Cares?

Vision New England -

This seems to be a question asked by many! Pastors cannot care for all the members of the church.  When it comes to care and discipleship, the small group becomes an important, strategic venue in the life of the church.   Meaningful relationships, care giving, connection and spiritual growth surface as life changing components within the context of small groups. Interest and involvement continues to spread throughout the life of many churches today. In what way is it happening in your church?

A huge challenge in the church today is to turn a large gathering into smaller units where community can be created. These small groups become a safe place where you can be yourself. Transparency is at the core of every authentic relationship. Building meaningful relationships early on in a small group setting provides members a platform from which they can share and discuss God’s word. Making connections with what is discussed to the daily lives of participants allows the Holy Spirit to grow disciples and transform lives!

So, who cares? The leaders and small group members! Decide now how your church can become a church of caring small groups. Investigate the various options for starting a small group ministry and training leaders for excellence.
